I’ve owned
a camera and have enjoyed taking pictures since as far back as I can remember. When
I was little my grandpa always had a camera in his hand and thoroughly enjoyed
photographing our family. I loved looking through the pictures he took, and
always wanted to jump in and take some of my own. From around age 9-13, my
grandpa stopped taking as many photos as he used to, probably because his
camera was becoming more ancient as the years went on, but I stopped taking a
lot of photos as well.
Once I got
back into it...that was it. I couldn’t stop. I took pictures of my friends,
family, cats, my bedroom, buildings...all kinds of stuff. I have thousands of
pictures piled up in my room (which I need to get frames and albums for), not
to mention thousands of pictures on my computer (which also need to be
organized).
I’ve never
taken a photography class, and most of my pictures are paparazzi shots, A.K.A.
random pictures of my friends. Semi-recently I’ve been trying to take photos
with a theme or a purpose, and have been
fooling around with editing (I like cheesy effects...sue me)! In my last semester
of CreComm I’ll be taking a photography class, so I’m looking forward to
learning more about the craft. But until then, I give you....
